Lucas Hnath's A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2, Anesis Theatre, Athens, 2021.

Ibsen's A Doll's House ends with Nora abandoning her husband and children, closing the door behind her. With the opening of the same door, two decades later, begins Lucas Hnath's black comedy A Doll's House - Part 2. What has changed for her and the rest of the family during her 20 years'  absence?   The play does not take a clear stand for or against Nora's historic decision, but lets the heroes present their own arguments and vigorously defend their position. The senography consists of a series of mobile timber fragments that keep changing positions during the play. These fragments are reminiscent of a 19th century doll house or a court room. These are pieces of a puzzle that could never get solved properly.
